Paramount: Leveraging data to improve factory operations

In our journey towards striving for a more digitised process in fashion manufacturing, we’ve deployed the Zilingo Factory software to over 50 factories across 4 countries. One such group is Paramount Products, who sought to improve their operations and we helped them reach their targets.
Background
Operating out of 5 units situated in Okhla and Noida, Paramount Products Pvt. Ltd has been a pioneer in the field of garment export from India since its launch in 1973. Today, Paramount exports to brands in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The company has taken up several initiatives to introduce corporate social responsibility as well as energy conservation.
Their Challenge
Prior to employing Zilingo Factory’s production software in their factory, Paramount faced issues relating to high DHU rates on their production lines. Additionally, they faced a lack of visibility into linewise KPI data. All of which ultimately led to decreases in productivity and efficiency.

With greater visibility into factory floor operations, productivity can be greatly improved. The Results
With the introduction of Zilingo Factory software Paramount saw the following results:
1. Live status on the source of defect generation
2. Identification of the major contributors of defect generation
3. Prompt actions taken to control defects
4. Well summarized data that provided a clear understanding of type of defects and source of defects
Paramount witnessed a decrease in DHU rates by almost 0.4% and a highly impressive gain in efficiency by almost 5%!
